TREATS Activities

Cycling funWe have been awarded funding from the People's Health Trust and are offering the following TREATS for people living in Scarborough. Our aim is to offer things which will help you get out, socialise and meet new friends.

Keeping FIt
We offer free activity sessions in Tai Chi and Indoor bowling. Our Tai Chi instructor is very understanding about our limitations and adapts his session so that anyone can take part. You can do Tai Chi sitting or standing so come along and give it a try. At our Indoor Bowling sessions you can come along and just have coffee and a chat. We have an expert coach who has really helped to develop those who do play

Arty Crafty
On offer we have adult colouring, jewellery making, pebble art and a whole range of other crafty things - It's down to you what else we will do . And guys, don't be put off with the jewellery making because you could always make something which we could sell to raise more funds.

Tickle your Tastebuds
This is one of our most popular activities. We meet at The Filling Station at The Street where Beckie let's us use her kitchen. each one has a theme and we show you how to prepare and cook dishes and then the fun really begins when we get to taste them too. We have already covered a large range of recipes- if there is anything you fancy let us know and we will try and arrange it.

Cycling for Disabled people
We work in tandem (pun intended) with Scarborough and Ryedale Community Cycling who have a range of adapted bikes to suit everyone - and the beauty of it is you get a volunteer to do all the hard work for you. We plan to cycle at a number of lovely locations and transport can be provided from The Street.

Out and About
How do you fancy afternoon Tea at The Clock Cafe? or a boat trip followed by ice cream at the Harbour Bar? These are just two of the events we have planned for the spring and whatever else we do, as with all our TREATS will be decided by you - our TREATS Coordinator Chris is just here to make sure it all happens for you .

Do come and join us - for up to date information follow us on our Facebook Page
If you want to help shape the events for the next year you can join our Steering Group which meets once a month - there will be coffee and biscuits !
